either we take part on or not ⋆.˚✧
Came across this video on instagram and I swear it altered my brain chemistry. Trully.
After that, I decided to take a week out of work, and this feeling of not having to be productive all the time and just be able to exist have always been an awkward one, almost as if I’m getting too far behind everyone else.
Truth is that one does have a hard time in being present at the moment (may due anxiety or depression, idk), and whenever getting the opportunity of actually doing it, it feels like I don’t know how to or what to expect. Letting go can be burdensome.
My point in this whole thing is that when things get too heavy or too cloudy, the entire atmosphere takes the shape of confusion and it’s pretty easy to find yourself on a sunless place (don’t get me wrong, the moon does shine as well but) you need light, to feel the warmth on this skin, you need to breathe, to notice the seasons changing and to stretch your arms until you finally hold what’s really important for time doesn’t wait and it devours all.
That being said, I’ve been doing small changes this week. I saw a lot of sunrises and sunsets, took some time to read and off the screen, held my cats, kissed my dogs, will get a new tattoo tomorrow and fixed stuff that bothered me in the house (you’d be surprised to know that I managed to fix it all on a single day). Realized that I do care too much about achieving perfection for other people specially at the cost of myself.
This is a reminder for me and you that we can let it go sometimes, it’s completely fine to try new or old stuff, and to take good care of yourself and do more of what you want, to experience life and go on even when it’s scary.
Do it, live and live for yourself. ♥
With love,
M. ♥
